Amenities: Trail Miles .6 The eight acre preserve sits atop a portion of the Edwards Limestone containing numerous water-formed caves, sinkholes and smaller openings. The Karst Preserve trail is a pleasantly shaded trail winding around honey-combed limestone. The first sinkhole, Wade Sink, may be explored. Be sure to remember that you are sharing this habitat with scorpions, spiders, and snakes and that they have the right of way. Arrange for cave tours through the Austin Nature Center at 327-8181
