Located on the first and mezzanine floors, the Pamela Brown Auditorium is Actors' largest theatre. Seating 637, the Pamela Brown Auditorium offers a traditional proscenium, semi-thrust stage. No seat in the theatre is more than ten rows from the stage while the spacious and flexible playing area and backstage allow for magnificent sets. The theatre is named after Pamela Brown, actress and late sister to Louisville entrepreneur and former Governor John Y. Brown, Jr. who made a gift in her honor for the construction of the new theatre complex in 1970.
