Abigail Breslin

Abigail Breslin, the fourth youngest person ever to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, came into the public eye for her unforgettable role as Olive in the 2005 dysfunctional family romp "Little Miss Sunshine." Co-star Alan Arkin, playing her cocaine-addled grandfather in the film, publicly remarked that he hoped she would not get the award, thinking she deserved a real childhood and wanted her to avoid the trappings of early Hollywood stardom. Prior to "Little Miss Sunshine" Breslin appeared in the films "Signs," "Raising Helen," "The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement," and "The Family Plan." In 2008 Breslin stars with Jodie Foster in "Nim's Island" and will also star in "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl" in the principal role.
