Ashraf Barhoum

The emergence of Middle Eastern actor Ashraf Barhoum coincided with - and owed a great deal to - the heightened pop culture focus on Middle Eastern tumult during the mid-late 2000s. Barhoum landed two key roles in significant international productions about conflicts in this region: specifically, the 2005 suicide bomber drama Suicide Now (as a Palestinian terrorist operative) and Peter Berg's counter-terrorism drama The Kingdom (2007), as a sympathetic Saudi Arabian police officer.
